MINEHEAD RNLI has issued a warning to be prepared when out at sea after a kayaker capsized at Blue Anchor.
The man had deployed his anchor then capsized and was unable to get back onto his kayak, however fortunately Police Special Constables spotted the man's predicament and requested the lifeboat launch, plus the Watchet Coastguard were also deployed.
The man did eventually manage to to swim his kayak ashore before the lifeboat was on scene.
A spokesman for Minehead RNLI said: "The man was treated for cold by the police. Take care out there people - the gentleman was wearing a buoyancy aid but only normal clothing - he was very cold."
