VOLUNTEERING charity Engage is again searching for Star Volunteers in West Somerset and Taunton Deane.
Engage is part of the Somerset Celebrating Volunteering initiative, and is inviting organisations and the general public to nominate individuals or groups who they feel deserve special recognition.
As in the last two years, these celebrations link in with the county-wide 'Somerset Star Volunteer' initiative, which is backed by Somerset County Council.
There are two main categories for the Star Volunteer of the Year awards: individual and group.
In West Somerset there is an additional Environmental award, which has been sponsored by Exmoor National Park.
Katrina Midgley, Engage chief officer said: “We are really excited to be able to host these volunteering celebrations again.
“The Star Volunteers will be people who give their time freely for the benefit of others, whether in a large registered charity or simply through being good neighbours.”
Nomination forms can be downloaded from Engage’s website engagews.org.uk. For a paper copy call 01643 707123.
The closing date for nominations is Friday, April 21 2017.
