Fire crews have been called to battle a chimney fire in Minehead.
A fire engine from Minehead was sent to an address in Northfield Close shortly before 9pm yesterday (April 26).
The crew was called to a report of a fire involving a wood burner.
Once there the crew confirmed that this was a chimney fire involving the wood burner and got to work trying to identify the location of the fire.
The crew shortly requested the attendance of a second fire engine with a specific ladder.
This was also sent from Minehead and once it got on scene they began working from the roof using said ladder along with safety working at height equipment and a hose reel jet.
The fire was extinguished using the above equipment working from both the roof and the hearth.
