Crews were called at 10.44pm on August 3 to assist Watchet Coastguard in the search for a missing person who was thought to be very distressed and a high risk.

Watchet Coastguard were already on the scene liaising with the police, and after a quick search plan was formulated they set about their search.

"The person in question had returned to their caravan where they were staying and was back with family.

"With the police and Watchet Coastguard confirming this we were stood down en-route and returned to station.

"A quick conclusion to what could've been a very long night.

"We would like to again remind you all that if anyone does feel that they need to talk to someone and that life is getting difficult, please remember the Samaritans are a phone call away, and they are available 24 hours a day and free to call on 116 123."
