THREE people were treated for smoke inhalation after an early morning property fire in Minehead.

Crews were called out to Glenmore Road in Minehead at 3.15am this morning where a fire had broken out in the living room but was now out.

Although the blaze was extinguished, crews helped ventilate the damaged property and ambulance crews treated three adult casualties with oxygen therapy.

A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said: "The fire was caused by an open fire and combustible materials.

"The living room was 40 per cent damaged by fire and there was 80 per cent smoke damage to the rest of the property."
