A NEW exhibition celebrating the tea-making tradition of a West Somerset merchant has opened in Porlock.
The Dovery Manor Museum opened the new exhibition about Miles Tea in Porlock and Minehead.
A Nice Cup of Tea features several tea-related artefacts, telling the story of merchant Derek Miles.
To launch the exhibition, he entertained an audience of over a hundred at Porlock Methodist Hall.
He gave a talk about the development of his business from blending tea at the kitchen table of his Porlock cottage to the thriving enterprise it is today.
He displayed different teas and equipment used for tea tasting.
The tea company produces and blends tea and coffee enjoyed all over the world.
Guests were welcomed with homemade cakes and a cup of Miles tea.
The exhibition will run in the 15th century manor until September 30 and admission is free.
Private and group viewings may be arranged via the Curator, Dr Lita Strampp.
