HOLLYWOOD – Glitz and Glamour was the theme for West Somerset Community College’s prom and did not disappoint.

Suavely-dressed boys and glamorous girls from year 11 arrived at Minehead Rugby Club on Friday in a wonderful array of vehicles, ranging from sports cars to double-decker buses and motorbikes to vintage cars.

Students and staff alike spent the evening dancing to music from DJ Drew Maddon, who ensured the dance floor was never empty, and Paradise Catering provided the food.

Connor Mutters and Corrie Todd were crowned Prom King and Queen out of hundreds of immaculately dressed peers.

Year 11 team leader Andy Bowden said: “Many people were involved in making this event a great success and we would like to express our sincere thanks to them all.”
