A MOTHER of two is taking part in a marathon walk in memory of her ‘fantastic father and dearest friend’.

Jane Feast will trek from Stonehenge to Avebury with hundreds of other people as part of the Alzheimer’s Society Memory Walk on Sunday.

The 43-year-old receptionist at Harley House doctor’s surgery in the town said she wanted to do something out of the blue to acknowledge the fifth anniversary of her father John Madden’s death which is approaching.

On her charity page, Jane said: “He [John] suffered with dementia for the last eight years of his life after suffering from a stroke.

“Seeing him slowly decline over this time and seeing him looking lonely and confused, was just heart-breaking.”

“I hope that you can support me and donate to a great charity in memory of a man who was a fantastic father and my dearest friend.”

To sponsor Jane you can pick up a form from Harley House surgery or visit here
