WELLINGTON is gearing up to go welly crazy over the school summer holidays with the second Wellington Boot Walking Trail.

Organiser Peter Watts, of Point Three Community Interest Company, is urging people and businesses to get involved by placing a commemorative sign or planter in or outside their premises.

Mr Watts said it is hoped that the initiative, running throughout the school break, will attract more shoppers to the town.

He added: “We are building on the success of the trail last year which received such a positive response.

“We want to see as many businesses and organisations get involved with this to sponsor a sign or planter and proudly put these on display to get people talking and walking.”

Mr Watts is appealing for sponsors, who will get their names attached to the boot signs and planters and also feature in the walking trail booklets and other publicity.

To get involved, contact Mr Watts on 07761-485657 or e-mail manager@pointthree.org.uk by Friday, June 17.
