A PLANNED afternoon of relaxing in the sun turned into a scary ordeal for an elderly Wellington woman after trapping her leg in a sun lounger.
Firefighters were called out to the assist the lady on Barn Meads Road at 2.25pm today (Sunday, April 9).
On arrival the crew discovered an elderly female casualty with her leg trapped in the sun lounger.
She was treated with oxygen therapy and first aid and the firefighters used pedal cutters and bolt croppers to release her.
