Somerset’s first trampoline park has announced it will open its doors next month.

Flip Out Somerset, a new £1.5m leisure attraction, plans to welcome its first jumpers at the end of September.

Based at Chelston Business Park in Wellington, the huge site will offer family fun across two floors with a 40,000 sq ft ground floor and a 2,000 sq ft mezzanine.

Alongside the 75 inter-linked trampolines in the main arena is a 20m tumble track and two Olympic-sized trampolines.

Another major feature is the venue’s huge 6,000 sq ft stunt box area where visitors can test out their free-running skills on a variety of obstacles in a comfortable indoor environment.

Jeremy Appiah, general manager at Flip Out Somerset, said: “It’s fantastic to be just a few weeks away from unveiling Flip Out Somerset.

“This is going to be a really family friendly attraction with five party rooms, perfect for birthdays and other special occasions, along with a dedicated trampoline zone for the under 5s and an onsite café with views over the arena.

“We’re excited by the size and the wealth of features in our new park and are looking forward to welcoming people from across Somerset very soon.”

Other features within the trampoline park include dodgeball and slam dunk courts, Gladiator-style battle beams and a ninja warrior course.

45 new jobs will also be created at the Wellington site, which is set to be the 17th trampoline park opened in the UK by Flip Out, the world’s fastest growing trampoline park operator.

Flip Out Somerset will be open 9am-9pm, Sundays to Thursdays, and 9am-10pm, Fridays and Saturdays.
