DELAYS: Overturned tractor causes delays for motorists on Gerbestone Road in Wellington
AN OVERTURNED tractor caused delays for motorists near Wellington.
Firefighters were called at 9.45pm on August 29 to Gerbestone Road in West Buckland near Wellington after reports that a tractor had overturned and was obstructing the road. One fire appliance from Wellington mobilised to the incident. On arrival, crews confirmed that one tractor was on its side and that passengers were free and clear of the vehicle. Crews also confirmed that the road was blocked and police were in attendance and were assessing the scene.
Firefighters made the tractor safe and mopped up fuel from the vehicle using mud from a nearby bank.
