THE first County Gazette jute bags are on the street!
Winners of the bags - all of whom have pledged to reduce their plastic bag usage - have been collecting them from our St James Street office in Taunton.
Among them are Michelle Parsons, 29, of Taunton.
She said: "I don't use carrier bags any more - I always use jute bags.
"They're better for the environment and less clutter around the house.
"The campaign is a good idea and my mum has just signed up as well now."
