TAUNTON Deane's Polish Association is going from strength to strength.

The group, helped by the Council for Voluntary Services' ethnic minorities liaison officer, Rosie Benson, has secured a £3,648 grant from the Somerset Community Foundation.

The money will help fund Taunton's Polish football club for under-11s - the Little Euros - and an after-school art group at St George's Catholic School.

Monika Stennett, association chairman, said: "This is very encouraging for us and for the Polish community in Taunton Deane.

"We want to work with everybody here - we hope to use both activities to help integration with the Somerset community and to make even more friends."

Little Euros welcomes all boys and girls of whatever nationality and meets on Sundays at 2.30pm at the St Augustine of Canterbury School - for more information, contact Monika on 07771-852505.
