FENCING: Nat Lewis ready to inspire beginners
Taunton Deane Junior Blades will be starting a new beginners Sabre Fencing course next Wednesday (January 16) at Kings College Convent Gym at 5.45.
Taunton’s Nat Lewis, who returned to the club at which he trained as a boy to be the Head Coach, has attracted many new young fencers to his sessions.
Lewis, who represented his country in the world championships at the age of 17, said: “Fencing is a great sport for the individual. It encourages fitness and co- ordination in youngsters who are not interested in team games and it’s great fun.”
Lewis now also coaches at the Centre of Excellence for Sabre at Filton.
