Front rowers Spurdle and Manton both miss out through injury, with Rich Sinel returning to the bench.
However Jamie Forrester returns to the starting XV after recovering from a knee injury.
Meanwhile winger Aron Struminski returns after a hamstring problem and back rower Jamie Fleming makes his first appearance at Hyde Park since rejoining the team this season.
