BOXING: Nadolski ready for professional debut
7:06am Wednesday 30th October 2013 in Sport
TAUNTON light-heavyweight Krystian Nadolski makes his professional debut at the City Academy, Bristol, next Friday (November 8).
The 29-year-old will face Angelo Crowe who has lost all three of his pro fights.
Nadolski will be fighting on a night of boxing history for Bristol when Sanigar Events showcase two British title fights.
Dean Francis faces Bob Ajisafe for the vacant light-heavyweight title while stablemate Lee Haskins defends his British bantamweight title against Nottingham's Jason Booth.
Nadolski moved to Taunton from Poland six years ago where he was a professional in Muay Thai, a combat martial art which originated in Thailand and involves the use of fists, elbows, shins, knees and feet.
After moving to England Nadolski took up cage fighting but suffered a series of injuries which he has taken a long time to recover.
However Nadolski earned his professional licence a year ago and says he is in top shape to begin his boxing career.
He said: “I train in Taunton and in Bristol where I have an excellent team supporting me. I feel ready, quick and strong.”
The chief support bout of the night features undefeated heavyweight prospect Hughie Fury (cousin of Tyson Fury) who will be looking to extend his unbeaten run of ten contests since turning professional earlier this year.
