WELLINGTON face two tough games over the Christmas period as they bid to hang on to the coat-tails of the promotion favourites.

Tomorrow they entertaintain Barnstaple Town (1.30pm) while on Saturday they visit Wincanton Town (3pm).

Like Wellington, both teams are in the top seven in the Toolstation league’s first division so a couple of competitive games are in prospect.

Jamie Pringle will be unavailable tomorrow while Luke Redrup and Nicky Ford are both injured but manager Mike Hawes is happy with the strength of his squad.

Wellington have yet to play Wincanton this season but they did beat Barnstaple on penalties in the Les Phillips Cup.

Although Wellington are lying fourth in the table they face a major task to clinch one of the two promotion slots with Bradford Town and Shepton Mallet going so well.
