MARTYN Rogers has decided to stand down as Taunton Town’s first team assistant manager.
Rogers joined the Peacocks in August 2012 as assistant to manager Leigh Robinson but now wishes to pursue opportunities as a manager at another club.
He said: “After a lot of serious thought I have decided to seek a post elsewhere to fulfil my ambitions in football which has to be manager.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Taunton and wish Leigh and the players all the very best in the future.
“Furthermore I would like to thank chairman Kevin Sturmey and all the board for all their support during my spell at the football club, not forgetting all the staff that are the backbone of the club.”
Kevin Sturmey said: “The club wish to place on record their thanks and appreciation for Martyn’s efforts during his time at the Viridor Stadium and wish him the best of luck in the future.”
