TAUNTON Town are on the road for the penultimate weekend of Calor Southern League action when they visit Thatcham Town tomorrow (kick-off 3pm).
Town will travel full of confidence after five consecutive victories, including Tuesday evening’s win over leaders Merthyr Town, and will be seeking a fifth double of the campaign after beating Thatcham 3-0 in September at the Viridor Stadium.
It will be the Peacocks’ last visit to the Berkshire club for a while as they are resigning from the league at the end of this season.
Chris Young misses the trip as he is suspended for two matches after receiving ten cautions, meaning he will also not feature in Easter Monday’s Calor League local derby against Bridgwater Town at the Viridor Stadium, kick-off 3pm.
The Peacocks will hope to avenge their recent 3-1 defeat at Fairfax Park in what will be their final home game of the season when supporters have their chance to vote for their Player of the Year.
