IN the Taunton & District Sunday League’s Gardner Cup, Tone Youth saw off Division 3 White Eagles to reach their second cup final of the season.

Adam Smith was again chief destroyer, hitting another hat-trick and taking his tally to a very impressive 40 for the season; Dan Toft also scored in the 4-2 win. The Eagles kept it interesting with goals from Marcin Pancerz and Arter Jacaszek.

There’s a great tussle developing at the top of Division 1. Ash Rangers lead the way after they claimed three points thanks to Black Riley’s inability to raise a team.

Ash only have two games left and Princess Royal, in second, only have one game left.

Royal drew with Staplegrove 2-2, Nick Woon scoring twice for Grove who remain favourites by virtue of the fact they have five games remaining and only a two-point deficit.

Bathpool’s 2-1 home defeat at the hands of Hamilton see them as outsiders now; Martyn Hawkins scored both for Hamilton, including a brilliant 35-yard shot over the keeper.

Tone Youth have a great chance of an incredible treble, sitting in fifth but with plenty of games in hand.

Old Inn beat Wellington Warriors to ease their relegation fears.

DB UTD are on the verge of taking the Divisikon 2 title – their 7-5 win at Watchet saw them climb above Ash Reserves into the top spot. DB still have four games left and only need to win one of them to win the division.

Ash Reserves cannot be promoted so the battle for promotion continues with North Curry in prime position after a 9-1 win over Carhampton.

Cotford await a slip-up– they were awarded three points as PCUK failed to raise a team.

Hamilton Reserves had a useful 4-3 win at Dunster.

Blue Park Rangers have won the Division 3 title. Gareth Conway scored two, George Cox and Simon Stowell also in target in a 4-2 win over Mariners FC for whom Matt Garland and Mark Oram scored.

Wellington Reserves dropped what could prove a costly two points in a 1-1 draw at Trinity Rangers – the result keeps White Eagles in with a shout at promotion.

White Hart Albion hammered Pegasus 4-0 and Spaxton and Williton drew 3-3 .
