THE majority of the Taunton Town squad which rounded off last season with nine consecutive victories and Somerset Premier Cup glory have already re-signed for 2014-15 after agreeing terms with manager Leigh Robinson.

Peacock players who have committed for next season so far are Ben Carter, Simon Ingram, club captain Owen Irish, team captain Steve Kingdon, Shane Kingston, Ben Mammola, Rodney Marsh, Steve Murray, Rob Norrish, Nat Pepperell, goalkeeper Joe Perry, Jamie Price, Jamie Short, Lewis Tasker and Josh Wadham.

Numbers will increase next week when Town will announce their first new signing of the summer.

Season ticket savings are again on offer at the Viridor Stadium ahead of the 2014-15 campaign.

There is an Early Bird purchase price for season tickets bought before the end of June which will generate savings for supporters of nearly 18% over the full price.

Tickets bought up to and including June 30 will be at the discounted price of £115 for adults, £60 for senior citizens, students and the unemployed, and £20 for under 16s. After this date the cost will rise to £140, £75 and £25 respectively.

A season ticket will give free entry to all home first team games in the Southern League and Under 18 fixtures in the Somerset Floodlight Youth League, as well as all pre-season friendlies which begin with the visit of League One side Walsall on July 16.

Taunton will also host Truro City with at least one other home friendly still to be confirmed.

Each season ticket holder will also be given one guest ticket which will enable them to bring a person to an eligible game of their choice during the season.

Matchday admission prices for the new season will rise by £1 for adults but remain the same for concessions and under 16s. The increase is the first time gate prices have risen for seven years.

Entry will be £8 for adults, £5 for senior citizens, students and the unemployed and £2 for under 16s. Children under the age of 12 will continue to be admitted for free on condition they are accompanied by an adult. Chairman Kevin Sturmey said: “A supporter buying an adult season ticket before the end of June would save at least £75 against the equivalent cost of paying for the games covered on an individual basis.

“The team’s excellent end to last season will hopefully encourage more people to consider buying a season ticket and to take advantage of our offer.

“Although we have reluctantly put up adult admission slightly, our prices still compare very favourably within our division and we believe offer good value for money.”
