TAUNTON have enjoyed a successful and enjoyable 2013-14 season at the end of which two of their teams Quantock and Priory both won promotion in the Somerset Netball League.

In Division 2 Quantock finished runners up winning 19 games and only losing three games all season. Quantock will now compete in Division 1 next season.

In Division 3 Priory also finished runners up, winning 18 games, drawing one and losing three and will now join their sister team Monmouth in Division 2 next season.

At the recent successful end of season presentation evening the following awards were made – Abbey Burton won Vivary’s Player of the Year and Selectors Player of the Year while Hannah Robins won Player of the Year for Tone.

Becca Holder won Player of the Year for Quantock as well as the most improved player and Amy Toole won Player of the Year for Monmouth Rhonda Robins won Player of the Year for Priory and Darcy Rowlands won Player of the Year for Blackdown.

Taunton Netball club would like to invite netballers of all standards to attend their trials for the forthcoming season.

The trials are taking place on Saturday, June 28 from 10am to 4pm and Saturday, July 12 from 10am to 4pm.

Both trials will be taking place at the Taunton Vale Sports Club, Gipsy Lane, Taunton TA2 6LP.
