THERE was a large entry for the Fuller Medal at Taunton and Pickeridge where despite the storms in the early hours the course was in excellent condition.

The competition was particularly keen in Division One where two players returned to the clubhouse with 69.

However after countback it was Barry Hardwill who was the winner after edging ahead of second placed Peter Moloney, with John Wall on 70.

Greg Jackson topped the second flight with 67, one ahead of second placed Neil Shattock who enjoyed the same advantage over third-placed John Gardiner.

Malcolm Mynett was the clear winner in Division Three with 69, five better than the next two players who both carded 74.

They had to be separated by countback after which it was Ian Thresher who was placed second and Philip Cook third.

The Midweek Stableford was won by Ian Clark, a 2 handicapper, with 41, which means he shot a gross 66.

Second place was claimed by Simon Day-Hitchen 40 points with Joff Street third on 35.

Carolyn Stait and Carol Keenan were the winners of the T&P qualifying round for the PING Women's Four Ball Better Ball Tournament of England 2014 with 37 points, one ahead of Louise Worth and Rosie Spragg with 36.

Third place was won by Jackie Lynn and Margaret Farley with 35 points, Lennox Heath and Sheila Beresford claimed fourth spot with 34 while Emilia O'Boyle and Elaine Payne were fifth on 33.

Twos were recorded by Carole Rotheram and Corinne Lyon, and Pat Follett and Anna Rees.

The winners card will be forwarded to PING and the top 60 Stableford scores in England will qualify for the Grand Final in September, while the next 72 best scores will qualify for the Plate Final.
