TREBOROUGH Hill will be a hive of activity this weekend as it hosts two full days of British Eventing competition in support of Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.

The first couple of years were fairly quiet and low key affairs but this time there has been a huge boost in entries.

This is partly due to the word getting around that Treborough isn’t too far off the beaten track but also the appointment of 2012 Olympic course designer Adrian Ditcham to oversee the introduction of a Novice class has led to entries from some of the sport’s elite riders including Lucy Wiegersma as well as up and coming young riders such as Emily King.

The weather is set fair and with free entry all spectators are welcome to come along and watch these equestrian stars plus many local riders compete in dressage, show jumping and cross country as well as enjoy the spectacular views to Dunkery Beacon and across the Bristol Channel.

Treborough Hill is easily accessible from the B3224, midway between Raleghs Cross and Wheddon Cross on the edge of Exmoor / The Brendon Hills.
