MINEHEAD face a tough task today when they visit Nailsea United who have won the Somerset league title for each of the last three seasons.

The current league table sees the hosts in third place and the visitors in fourth, showing the importance this game holds for both sides. Minehead’s tricky September continues with home matches against second-placed Clutton and then Cutters Friday – currently unbeaten at the top of the league – the following Saturday.

Minehead Reserves start their season on Saturday when they entertain Morganians at Irnham Road with the kick off at 2.30pm.

WATCHET resume league action with their first home game of the season, against Yatton Athletic (3pm).

Having played five away games on the trot prior to last weekend’s blank, the Red & Blacks now have home fixtures on each Saturday in September – three of them against sides they have already played.

Watchet are lying 11th in the table with seven points from their five outings.
