AFTER regaining that winning feeling at Wincanton on Tuesday, Taunton Town have the opportunity to revitalise their Southern League campaign when they travel to AFC Totton tomorrow (3pm).

Two surprising home defeats on successive weekends have temporarily put a spanner in the works as Town seek to maintain their position among the leading pack so they will be hoping to return from the South Coast with some reward on Saturday.

The game promises to be a close affair though with their opponents lying one position below the Peacocks in sixth place and on equal points.

Team captain Steve Kingdon will miss the trip to Hampshire due to the ankle injury he received during the Wincanton game but Shane Kingston should be back from holiday and Rob Norrish returns after being rested midweek.

Town will then return to the Viridor Stadium on Tuesday evening when they entertain Mangotsfield United in another Southern League game, kick-off 7.45pm.

Unbeaten Taunton Under 18s are in Somerset Floodlight Youth League action this evening (Thursday) with a trip to Tiverton Town (7.30pm). Then next Wednesday they travel to play Gloucester City in the 2nd Qualifying Round of the FA Youth Cup at Tuffley Rovers’ ground (7.30pm). TAUNTON Town have entered into a partnership with the Crescent Clinic in Taunton.

The new venture will see the clinic provide treatment for Taunton’s first team and Under-18s when required, as well as holding a session at the Viridor Stadium for local footballers.

The Taunton Town and The Crescent Clinic Physiotherapy Practice will open each Tuesday starting next week from 3.30pm until 8pm (6pm finish when there is a game on).

It will provide elite level physiotherapy services to any local players affiliated with a team in Taunton or the wider Somerset area.

The practice will be operated by Ian Brewer, former head of sports medicine and lead physio at Somerset County Cricket Club, and Josh Wells who is the current Taunton Town first team physio. To book an appointment email contact@thecrescentclinic.co.uk or text on 07789-870259. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
