TAUNTON Vale Ladies 3rds beat Winscombe 8- 2 in Sedgemoor Division 1 of the West Clubs league.
After a great start by the team it wasn’t long before Vale found their first goal from Tanya Dicks.
Then after a tremendous strike hit the post, Sam King soon after found the back of the net to make the score 2-0.
Vale’s defence remained a solid unit and kept out any threats from Winscombe while the team counter- attacked well. With Vale having the majority of the possession and countless attempts at goal, Tanya Dicks and Sam King scored again before half time, taking the score to 4-0.
The second half started very positively with Helena Bird pelting the ball past the keeper from the top of the D.
Clare Hayse also smashed the ball past the goalie, making the score 6-0. By the end both Dicks and King had completed their hat-tricks. Player of the match was Ruby Terry.
