BISHOPS Lydeard played out a tame 0-0 draw on Saturday against visitors Berrow, who could consider themselves unlucky not to leave with the lion’s share of the points.
Craig Lawton not only pulled off numerous top drawer saves, but also saved a penalty in the first ten minutes and was the clear man of the match.
It was a poor first half, but the second half saw an improvement, especially down the left hand side, with Conor Noble, and Charlie Wilson combining well on numerous occasions to cause the Berrow defence all sorts of problems.
However overall the game was littered with mistakes, and the young Bishops team will have to improve on all fronts if they are to maintain a top five finish.
Even so, the point gained enabled them to climb one place in the table to seventh.
Lydeard: Lawton, Noble, Hard-ing, Cornish, Adams, Steel, Andrews, Smith, Palmer, Richardson, Wilson, Andrews B, Chamberlain, Purvis.
