TAUNTON punters can look forward to another great afternoon of National Hunt action when their local course host their Family Fun Easter Racemeeting this afternoon (April 2) with the first of the six races on the card off at 2.20pm.
With 48 runners declared there are good-sized fields in every race, with all the major trainers represented including Paul Nicholls, David Pipe, Phillip Hobbs, Nick Henderson and Alan King.
In addition to the excitement of the racing on the course there is something for everybody to enjoy including the World of Ferrets Roadshow, a Ball Pit, Bouncy Castle and Mega Slide, Face Painting and so much more, including an Easter Egg Hunt, and the first 300 children through the gate will be given a free Goody Bag!
The big race on the card is the Bathwick Tyres Handicap Hurdle Race, a Class 3 event with £10,500 up for grabs looks to be between Dragon’s Den trained by Chris Down at Cullompton and Earthmoves for the Sam Twiston-Davies and Paul Nicholls combination.
A courtesy coach service departs from Taunton Railway Station two hours before the off returning from the course 30 minutes after the last race.
