AFTER booking their place in the Premier League Knockout Cup semi-final with a 26-point aggregate win over Plymouth at the weekend, the Somerset Rebels turn their attentions back to league action on tomorrow (Friday) night with the visit of the Glasgow Tigers to the Oaktree Arena.

Somerset are expected to be at full strength with both Brady Kurtz and Charles Wright returning to the line-up after missing last weekend’s matches against Plymouth.

Kurtz was away competing in the opening round of the World Under-21 Championship in Italy, while Wright was side-lined with severe bruising following a fall in Somerset’s recent match at Redcar.

Somerset team manager, Garry May said: “We are expecting to have Charles Wright back in the side after he was forced to miss our cup matches against Plymouth due to the severe bruising he suffered when Stuart Robson hit into Charles in our match at Redcar last Thursday night.

“And of course we will have BK (Brady Kurtz) back in the line-up following his excellent display in the opening round of the World Under-21 Championship in Lonigo where he finished in fifth place against a very competitive line-up.

“So I hope that the Somerset fans will turn out in force come Friday night, not only to cheer the team on, but to also give Brady the reception he richly deserves.”

Glasgow have gone through a major over-haul during the winter, with new owners taking over the reins at Ashfield Stadium, and with it came equally major changes to the Tigers line-up for the 2015 season.

In came a heat-leader trio to match most sides in the Premier League, it seeing a return to the famous Tigers’ red and white stripes of Nick Morris, who had spent the previous two seasons with Somerset, together with Richard Lawson and Aaron Summers.

To back up these three Glasgow signed their third Australian, Kozza Smith with Frenchman Dimitri Bergé being retained from the 2014 septet, while at reserve Glasgow originally tracked Swede Viktor Palovaara, another returnee from 2014, and young British rider James Sarjeant, who has since moved into the main body of the team.
