THE Somerset Rebels continue their bid for the Premier League’s championship-deciding play-offs with the visit of the Ipswich Witches to the Oaktree Arena on Friday (July 24) night.

While Somerset are well ensconced in the league’s top three, Ipswich are currently lying sixth, the final play-off spot.

Their good away form, which has seen them pick up four wins, has been negated by dropped points at home, which include a draw against the Rebels on their recent visit to the Foxhall Stadium.

Somerset are expected to be at full strength for Friday’s match and will be looking to continue their good home form against an Ipswich side which gained a draw when the two sides met at the Oaktree Arena in the League Cup back in April.

Rebels team manager, Garry May said: “Of course it goes without saying that we will be looking for not only the win in order to gain another 3 league points, but to also send Ipswich away from the Oaktree Arena with nothing to show for their troubles.”

“After a slow start to last week’s meeting against Glasgow, the boys suddenly upped it a gear and just blew the Tigers away, so more of the same will be most welcome come this Friday’s match against Ipswich - but with King and Tungate having recently won the Pairs Championship at the Oaktree Arena, we know that it is going to be another tough match for us, but one that I feel we are more than capable of winning.”
