A WHOPPING £53k in prize money is on offer when Taunton Racecourse kick their new season off with the Totepool November Meeting next Thursday (Nov 12) with the first of seven races off at 1.10pm.
The attractive seven race card including two Class 3 events comprises of four hurdles, two chases and ends with a National Hunt Flat race.
The most valuable race of the day, the Totetrifecta Pick the 1,2,3 Handicap Steeple Chase over two miles five furlongs (Class 3), has a massive £13,000 available in prizes.
The other big event on the card, the Totepool Racing’s Biggest Supporter Novices’ Hurdle Race , another Class 3, over two miles three, carries prize money worth £9K.
Racegoers are reminded that advance bookings made online up to 10am the day before racing, as well as saving up to 20%, will qualify for a free drink, so log onto www.tauntonracecourse.co.uk and take advantage of this offer.
A courtesy coach departs from Taunton Railway Station two hours before the first race returning from the course 30 minutes after the start of the last.
