Laura Herbert on the sixth green at Taunton and Pickeridge
LAURA Herbert achieved every golfer's dream when she claimed a hole-in-one at Taunton and Pickeridge Golf Club on Sunday.
The 15-year-old, 10-handicapper who is the reigning Junior Champion at Taunton and Pickeridge and attends Bishop Fox’s School, in Taunton, was playing with her father, Robin, in the Jack Lane Trophy Mixed Greensomes.
Her father missed the green with his tee shot on the par three sixth hole, at which point Laura, who sits her GCSE exams this summer, coolly stepped on to the tee and promptly aced the 145 yard hole with a seven-iron.
