AFTER a disappointing performance last week, the Titans face another stern test when they travel to London Irish Wild Geese who, themselves, are hunting for points to move them up the league.

The Wild Geese are the amateur side of London Irish and are based at the new state-of-the-art training facility of their professional arm of the club.

After returning to the league this season, the Irish struggled to find their feet in the first few weeks of the season but have since started to pick up some valuable points beating Exmouth, Barnes and Canterbury, as well as running Bishops Stortford and Worthing close over the last couple of weeks.

So, if the Titans turn up with the wrong attitude once again, they could be in for a long afternoon.

The last time Taunton played the Wild Geese away they were convincingly beaten and gave the Irish their first win of the season, so they should know complacency is not an option, with last weekend being a wake-up call.

Barnstaple's forwards gave their Titans counterparts a torrid time last weekend as the newly-promoted side won 22-19.

Taunton will be assessing injuries this weekend before selection to see if they can freshen up the team and get the desire back into the match day squad.

The coaches will have the benefit of being able to select Ratu ‘Toots’ Vakalutukali for the first time since his sending off and subsequent five-week ban against Old Elthamians back in October.

The Titans squad will know that if they do not put in a performance there are several Warriors players knocking on the door for selection who will definitely show the want and desire to succeed at this level if their peers fail to respond.
