TAUNTON Racecourse host their Ladies Day on Thursday afternoon when the first race is due off at 1.50pm.
Forty-four horses have been declared included runners from leading trainers Paul Nicholls and Phillips Hobbs’ stables, while among the jockeys booked to ride are Sam Twiston-Davies and Jamie Moore.
In the opening race Prince Mahler, owned by Taunton Racecourse Owners Club and fresh from his win at Ffos Las last week is due to run and bound to attract a lot of interest.
The most valuable race is at 5.05pm which is worth £8229 to the winner it looks like a battle between top weight Boa Island from the Nicholls yard or lowest weight William Money trained by Tim Vaughan.
Racegoers are reminded that a courtesy coach service departs from Taunton Railway station two hours before the off and returns from the course 30 minutes after the start of the last.
