DANIELLE Waterman won her 73rd England cap as she helped the Red Roses reach the semi-finals of the Women's Rugby World Cup with a win over the USA.

Waterman - born in Taunton and brought up in Minehead - played the full 80 minutes as defending champions England overcame their opponents 47-26 in Dublin.

The Red Roses came flying out of the traps, to lead 33-7 at half time, and were comfortable in the second half even as the USA fought back.

The last four pits England against France - who knocked out hosts Ireland to progress - while New Zealand face the USA.

The semi-finals take place in Belfast on Tuesday (August 22, ko 7.45pm), with live coverage on ITV4.
