TAUNTON Titans are looking to make it four wins in a row this afternoon, as they travel to newly-promoted Wimbledon on Saturday (ko 3pm).

Their third consecutive victory came at home to Barnstaple last weekend, in a match which proved much more straightforward for the Titans than many expected.

They will also be hoping that winger Aron Struminski can continue his stellar form, having scored six tries in those opening three games.

But for their second away trip of the season they are taking a step into the unknown at Wimbledon.

Having never faced each other in any competition the Titans will need to be at their best to take anything from the game, as their hosts are still looking for their first points of the season, having lost to Barnstaple and Worthing at home, and last weekend losing to Redruth.

Wimbledon will be no pushovers, as they have scored tries in all of their games so far this season, and will cause an upset at some point.

The Titans will take Wimbledon lightly at their peril but have some enforced changes this weekend, so will need to ensure they improve from last weekend’s result and not rest on the laurels.

One person in the Wimbledon ranks who won’t be taking the Titans lightly is former Taunton crowd and landlord favourite, stalwart Ben Turner.

Turner moved away from the South West a couple of years ago to pursue a career in the Big Smoke and, after going on loan to Bury St Edmunds last season, he called his time on the Titans as his work in London was taking up more of his energy.

When Wimbledon came asking, Turner went along to try his hand at National 2 one more time.

Next Saturday (September 30), the Titans have a tasty-looking home clash with Cornish rivals Redruth.
