THERE is no Boxing Day football for Taunton Town this year, as Paulton Rovers' pitch has failed its 9am pitch inspection.
Rovers, due to take on the Peacocks at 3pm today, tweeted that the "pitch is still lying with water with more heavy rain forecast."
Today’s match vs @TauntonTownFC has been postponed.

The atrocious rain of yesterday has thwarted our efforts and pitch is still lying with water with more heavy rain forecast☹️
It means that Evo-Stik Southern League West leaders Taunton will next be in action on Monday, January 1, at home to Bideford (ko 3pm).
The Toolstation Western League derbies scheduled for today are going ahead, however.
In the Premier Division, Wellington AFC travel to Bridgwater Town, while Bishops Lydeard visit Chard Town in the First Division (both ko 3pm).
UPDATE: Chard Town v Bishops Lydeard was called off shortly before kick-off this afternoon.
Unfortunately our game against @_BLAFC_ has been postponed. GAME OFF #ctfc #uptherobins
