Toolstation Western League
Premier Division
Wellington AFC 0, Shepton Mallet 1

A SECOND-MINUTE goal from Craig Loxton gave Shepton Mallet all three points at the Playing Field, with Wellington drawing a blank for their second successive match at home.

Loxton's 25-yard free-kick condemned the hosts to defeat on Saturday, but they remain nine points clear of second-bottom Wells City after they lost 7-1 at Willand Rovers.

With Jack Taylor having departed for Bridgwater Town at the end of last year and several more key men suffering injuries, manager Clive Jones will be looking for the key ingredient to get his side firing again.

Their next match is at home to Hengrove Athletic, who are one place and two points above them, next Saturday (December 13, ko 3pm).
