TAUNTON Athletics Club and Running Forever Running Club member Hannah Taunton created another piece of history at the Stoke Stampede on Sunday.

She came in as first lady at the 10k event, in a time of 37min 10sec.

The time wasn’t a ladies record, but hers was the highest placing ever for a female in the event, as she was second overall, out of around 370 runners.

She won two medals, one for first lady overall and one for first senior lady.

The overall winner of the event was Ian Tyson, of Torbay AAC, in a time of 35:36.
