TAUNTON Titans are on the road to Worthing Raiders tomorrow as they look to bounce back from last weekend’s damaging defeat at Redruth.
The 38-22 defeat in Cornwall, described as “a lesson to the Titans in how to control a game” by team manager Keith Brooking, saw Taunton miss out on the opportunity to climb to third in the National 2 South table.
Tomorrow’s opponents Worthing are ninth in the standings and will not have fond memories of the reverse fixture earlier in the season, which Taunton won 81-14 at Hyde Park in October.
That was the sixth win in a run of nine straight victories at the start of the season, but Taunton’s indifferent form since autumn has seen them slip out of the promotion race, with Chinnor and Cinderford comfortably clear at the top.
Elsewhere this weekend, Wellington travel to Plymstock Albion Oaks in Cornwall & Devon and Wiveliscombe are away at Old Redcliffians 2nds in Somerset Premier.
