IT was a busy weekend for the good people of Running Forever.

On Saturday, Peter Hall did the South Devon Coastal Marathon.

Although a veteran of these events, he described this as 27 miles of mud, more mud and with a bit of mud thrown in for good measure.

Louise Mills was in London on Sunday for the Cancer Research Winter 10K which had snow, penguins and polar bears - despite these distractions, Louise finished dead on an hour.

Five members took on the Fulford Five in Exmouth on Sunday, with Goff Welchman first home in 42.23, followed by Peter Stretton in 44.50.

Ed Loat was next over the line in 46.12, Cathie Welchman in 52.15 and Yvonne Loat in 57.15.

A trio of athletes travelled to Dorset for the Blackmore Vale Half.

Heather Pearce finished in 1.38, beating Ray Tutton by 30 seconds, with Trevor Stow finishing in 1.48.

The biggest outing of the weekend was to Portland for their Coastal Marathon.

Massive congratulations to Ali Bisatt, who was third overall (and first in his age group) in 3.58.

Matt Blee and Andy Burgess finished in 4.46, with Scott Weetch crossing the line in 5.04.

The club’s other five runners finished together in 5.50, having decided to stick together and support Karen Monteiro in her first marathon.

Jo Hall took part in the Half in Portland, finishing in 2.46.

Sam Cross continued her southern hemisphere parkrun tourism at Hagley Park in New Zealand.
