AFTER a fairly successful day one with two winners - Coo Star Sivola (5/1) and Mr Whitaker (6/1) - ensuring a modest profit, we are back with our selections for day two of Cheltenham.

Strap yourselves in...

1.30 - Ballymore Novices' Hurdle - The odds-on favourites were successful yesterday and another one leads the betting in the first race here, with Samcro (4/6) well fancied.

I reckon Ruby Walsh can topple the favourite aboard Next Destination (7/2), who has won three out of three over hurdles this season and arrives with a point to prove after finishing fourth in the Champion Bumper at the Festival last year.

2.10 - RSA Insurance Novices' Chase - A chance for Monalee (10/3) to show his class here, continuing a strong recent record in the process - the heavier ground should also suit.

Fans of Taunton Town goalkeeper Lloyd and former centre-half Owen may be tempted to have a punt on Full Irish (100/1).

2.50 - Coral Cup Handicap Hurdle - As things stand a whopping 27 horses are in for this one, so good luck picking a winner out of that lot - if you're feeling brave try William Henry (8/1), who sounds more like a Wetherspoons pub than a champion horse but won a good handicap race at Kempton recently.

For each-way shouts, have a look at As You Were (25/1) and Red Indian (25/1), who has placed in all four of his handicaps.

3.30 - Betway Queen Mother Champion Chase - Altior (11/10) is the strong favourite for the big one of the day but there are doubts about his condition and whether the ground will suit.

With that in mind, the one to watch is Min (7/2), who will not care a jot about the heavy going and finished second to Altior in the Supreme Novices' two years ago - Min can go one better today.

4.10 - Glenfarclas Chase - Some good horses in this one to ensure it shouldn't be a case of after the Lord Mayor's show - Tiger Roll (11/2) looks set to go well and is a bit of a loyalty pick for me having helped my modest stakes go a long way in the past.

4.50 - Boodles Fred Winter Juvenile Handicap Hurdle - A bit of a lottery here with 22 running and a favourite out at 8/1.

Look My Way (10/1) has Brian Hughes on board and should be well suited to the ground, while the excellently named Padleyourowncanoe (25/1) should pick up a few each-way shouts for those picking on that basis.

5.30 - Weatherbys Champion Hurdle - The last race of the day could be the start of a path to stardom for Tornado Flyer (8/1), who won on his debut in mid-January and comes from the family of Hurricane Fly - certainly one to watch.

Best of luck today and let us know how you get on via our Twitter and Facebook pages.
