Tone 55, Wells Swans 32
STRONG defence and countless interceptions from Lucy Monk (GK) and Nicole Smith (GD) against consistent shooters allowed Tone to lead 16-8 after the first quarter.
Both teams then matched each other almost goal for goal but Tone kept their lead (25-17) as play flowed and the attackers created space in the goal third.
Kim May (WD), Freya Bryant (C) and Meg Palmer (WA) managed to disrupt Swans’ play really well, and Tone pulled away further in the third quarter, with accurate feeds into Vicki Cornish (GS) and Leila Aladin (GA).
Tone raced ahead in the final quarter to add another win to their tally.

Queensway 25, Walton 41
GALMINGTON’S Queensway battled the minus temperatures and snow in a hard match against Walton.
After an enforced reshuffle, they came out fighting in each quarter, but although they won the final period 10-8 it came too late.
Player of the match went to Vic Nation (WD/C) for some sterling interceptions throughout the match.
Despite the defeat, heads were held high as each and every Queensway player turned over a ball in the final minutes, never giving up.
