TAUNTON Vale Hockey Club player Jill Hansford helped England clinch gold in the Women’s Over-65s World Cup in Barcelona last weekend.
Overall England won four gold and two silver medals at the Grand Masters World Cup.
The Over-65s went unbeaten throughout, winning six from six and beating the Netherlands 2-1 in the final.
Hansford has played hockey for more than 50 years and has been a member of Taunton Vale HC for the past 30.
She also helped a combined Vale/Minehead HC team win the England Hockey Over-45s Plate finals last year.
