Odd Down 2, Wellington AFC 1

WELLINGTON remain stuck on zero points after two matches in this season's Premier Division, after a late sucker-punch at Odd Down on Saturday.

John Elliott and an injury-time penalty from Adnan Hiroli won it for the Bath-based hosts, with Jack Bryant on target for the away side.

The Tangerines face another tough trip up next, as they go to Plymouth Parkway tomorrow (Wednesday, ko 7.30pm).

First Division
Bishops Lydeard 2, Bristol Telephones 1

BISHOPS Lydeard sit proudly at the top of the First Division table, as they beat Bristol Telephones at Cothelstone Road.

That knocked Cheddar - previous leaders until a 3-2 loss at home to Chard Town on Saturday - off the summit.

Harry Millar, a goalscoring substitute in Lydeard's last two games, was handed a start for this match, and he responded with both goals, in the 17th and 44th minutes.

That gave the hosts a 2-0 lead at half time, and although Phones pulled one back with a Ryan Webber penalty, the home team secured the points.

Tonight (ko 7.45pm) sees them go to Cheddar, who will no doubt be looking to bounce back after losing at the weekend.
