TAUNTON'S John Smith is among the Somerset competitors taking part in the Weston Fightclub spectacular in Weston-super-Mare on Saturday.

Smith takes on Steiner Cronstad, from Norway, in a pro kickboxing ISKA title eliminator fight.

Fightclub has gone international with five fighters from overseas, and also on the card are entrants from Wellington and Bridgwater.

Fightclub has different fighting arts on the show, with pro kickboxing, Thai boxing and mixed martial arts (MMA) - no holds barred - all on the same bill.

Somerset fighter James Bryan will be fighting professional MMA against Swede Meher Aziz.

Weston Warriors are hosting the show, which includes a top-class comedian and the Silver Dragons, a world champion display team.

Weston Warriors and WAMA are situated at Trimwise, Sunnyside Road, Weston.
