TAUNTON'S Nat Lewis returned from a tough National French Sabre Circuit tournament in Strasbourg to find out he had been selected for the Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS).
It means he has won a place on British Fencing's Performance Pathway, with the small core of fighters aiming for 2012 and beyond.
The TASS award gives Nat access to a tailored package of extra support services such as strength and conditioning programmes, life-style guidance, nutritional advice and aid, as well as sports medicine and physiotherapy back-up if needed.
Most services will be centred on Bath University and will include a regular schedule of performance and fitness testing, as well as visits to the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield for assessments.
