Somerset County League Prmeier Division: Blackbrook 1, Fry Club 0.

A GOAL two minutes from time by Darren Rice earned Blackbrook their first victory in ten matches.

Both sides were unable to create many chances despite an end to end first half.

A Frys player blasted over from close range inside the opening five minutes, while Simon Stone forced a fine save from the visiting keeper soon after.

Blackbrook's keeper James Self was also forced into a good save.

The hosts imposed themselves after the break with Chris Woon sending a downward header over the bar and man of the match Darren Stone having a header saved.

But the winner eventually arrived when Simon Stone beat a defender and the keeper to the ball and pulled the ball back for Rice to slide home.

Last night (Wednesday) Blackbrook were home to Burnham United and on Saturday they are away to Ilminster Town.
